so i recently found out that apparently a large sum of people i know from high school who are either graduated or are still there smoke pot and drink alcohol. Many of these people i have had a lot of respect for and could never imagine this really being true in a billion years. This just makes me really sad on so many levels and i don’t even know what to think anymore.
Just saying, drinking alcohol or smoking pot does not make someone an inherently bad person. People who do these things can choose to be lead by the drugs and can allow themselves to make poor decisions. But perfectly respectable, responsible, and intelligent people choose to live with these in their lives and are successful and happy. “How you use” is more important than “if you use” in many cases, in my opinion at least.
